The family business can be traced back at least six
generations over the last 150 years as farmers and butchers
in the Lancashire hills village of Dunnockshaw between the
Rossendale Valley and Burnley.
The tradition of rearing high quality cattle and sheep to
provide local beef and lamb has passed down the generations.
The three generations of the family working in the business
now are just as passionate about quality and customer service
as our ancestors and we have continued to develop the farm
which now covers about 1000 acres.
Over one hundred years ago, the family moved the butchers
off the farm and into a local shop. After several more changes
and moves, customers are now served from two excellent shops
in Dunnockshaw and Crawshawbooth.
The Crawshawbooth shop has recently undergone major expansion
to provide an exceptionally well stocked delicatessen to complement
the butchers department.
Recognising the changing lifestyle and needs of our customers
we have decided to develop our long standing traditional values
and excellent reputation through the Internet and online shopping.
